- The result is an estimate of the daily calories needed to maintain your current weight based on your BMR and activity level (using the Harris-Benedict principle multipliers).
- Note: This is an estimate. Individual needs may vary. To lose weight, consume fewer calories; to gain weight, consume more.
Activity Level Descriptions:
- Sedentary: Minimal movement, desk job.
- Lightly Active: Light exercise or sports 1-3 days/week.
- Moderately Active: Moderate exercise or sports 3-5 days/week.
- Very Active: Hard exercise or sports 6-7 days/week.
- Extra Active: Very hard exercise, physical job, or training twice a day.
